CONFIDENCE

Note to user:

There is power in the Word below.  Pray for a spirit of wisdom & understanding in the knowledge of Him so that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened as you seek the ways of His Kingdom.

Why is confidence important in our daily walk?  We are typically people of comfort and routine.  In other words, we tend to pull our energy from the strong areas of our lives.  This allows us to perform at our highest abilities because we have practiced and are gifted in these areas.  Our Father shaped and equipped us with these gifts in our lives and so it is only in Him that we have strength, peace and the ability to truly live.  It is easy to sink into our everyday habits and schedules, living on the auto pilot of our abilities.  Be encouraged and remind one another to resist the tendency to glory in your talents.  Instead, set who you are before your Father and King.  Thank Him for His presence and friendship with you.  Purpose in your heart to rely on God to accomplish what He sets before you.  Have you ever considered there may be a season to your talents?  Be open to His adventure and let Him lead, shape, renew and transform your life through the seasons of your walk with Him as a Kingdom citizen.

Psalm 139: 13-14

For you formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb.  I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.

1 Samuel 16:7 (Samuel looks at the sons of Jesse before the Lord affirms “little” David as king)

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Genesis 1:27

God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Joshua 1:9  (after the death of Moses, and Joshua is to lead the people across the Jordan into their Land)

“Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Proverbs 31:30  (Description of a worthy woman)

Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.

Philippians 4:13 (Apostle Paul shares how God provides and others share with him in his hard times)  I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

Prayer of Confidence

Father, I offer this prayer of your powerful Word in thanksgiving to You.  I praise You, according to Psalm 139: 13-14 that Your hands formed my inward parts and that You wove me with love in my mother’s womb.  I give deep thanks to You Lord that I am wonderfully made and that You have clothed me with honor.  I marvel at Your creative hands as You have sculpted me from nothing into something beautiful for the purpose of good works.  I am reminded by 1 Samuel 16:7 that you don’t look at me the same way the world sees me.  I know that You do not look at my outside appearance but You see directly into my heart.  Oh Father, let my thoughts, words and actions be pure and clear today so that I may find favor with You.  I celebrate according to Genesis 1:27 that I am made according to Your image.  There is nothing able to stand in my path as I go to live the life You have set before me today!  I choose to walk as you commanded in Joshua 1:9 to be strong and courageous.  I will not be scared or uncertain because You are my Lord and my God and You are with me wherever I go.  I walk in the confidence of Philippians 4:13 that I can do all things through You who gives me strength.  Thank You for being all that I need.  Please stir the hearts of those around me to see You in the holy character of my everyday life.  It is because of your strength and grace that I live to display Your glory.  Hallelujah!!  ---AMEN--
