Grace: Unmerited favor. God’s power providing for me by His will. Grace is totally dependent upon His will. He showed grace while we were still sinners. He loves us because He wants to love us!
Deal with the fear / unbelief and then believe. Fear says the opposite of what God has provided.
People laughing? People scorning? People not believing? Put them out! After dealing with the unbelief, look for the method. Jesus used many different methods. Humble yourself, listen to hear the rhema word from God, clear your mind to get quiet, then simply believe. God’s power has already provided everything pertaining to life and godliness. Faith is not trying to move God, but receiving what God has already done.
Rest in the promise and stop looking for the manifestation. What type of sickness are you dealing with? Condition, injury or life of its own? Like cancer or a virus has a life of its own. A headache or broken finger doesn’t really have a life in it? Command the life to wither and die that is causing problems in the body. Just like Jesus did with the fig tree.
Our will is very important in controlling thoughts, actions and dealing with unbelief. Get alone with God and receive the logos and rhema word….getting away from distractions. Faith is our response to His grace. Faith can only give what God has already provided.
When you’ve been sick or in pain for a long time it’s hard to imagine a time when you were well or healed. By His stripes we are healed….what picture does that paint? The Word brings forth hope, faith and the image of being set free. It’s important to remember and think new thoughts of what it’s like to be made whole.
Spirit – to – Soul – to -- Body. Revelation 22:1 John sees a river proceeding from the throne of God. John 7, 36-38……innermost being rivers of living water. The flow leaving the throne, praying in the spirit produces rivers of flowing water, through soul and body. God has given everything pertaining to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him. Power goes through our spirit and is established as we grow in knowledge of Him. Romans 12 says we are transformed by the renewing of our minds. As we learn and gain knowledge of Him and what His power has done He transforms your life.
So life comes from His power, through the knowledge of God and out into our physical realm. The Holy Spirit speaks to our spirit, we pick that up in our mind and the body is to obey. Often healing works like this as well.
Sometimes you can get a healing from someone else’s anointing in a meeting with corporate faith and once you leave the healing dissipates when the anointing lifts. There is often a deposit made in the spirit and it takes time to work out. 1 Corinthians 15….heavenly and earthly bodies. God changes the molecular structure and we are transformed…think of water to wine! Most often God multiplies the good cells and works with the good stuff that is already in us and makes it more! Praising and thanking Him causes that power deposit to “leak out” more and more and changes our mortal body. That power in us is what transforms us.
Sometimes you get healed under the anointing and the next day it starts to hurt again…why? John 8:44 -- You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies. Amos 3:3 – Can 2 walk together unless they be agreed?….talking about Israel and God.
Mind is like the middle point on a teeter totter. Spirit man is born again and sealed with the Holy Spirit. Body has been raised with certain habits and infirmities. Our soul is in the middle and in the midst of being renewed. The power was done spiritually & it comes through the knowledge of Him who called us to glory and virtue and when we learn more we are transformed by the renewing of our mind so that it can go out to the body.
So the body gets healed under a corporate anointing where the Lord touches you then your spirit man rejoices! There is agreement there. There are 3 that bear record in Heaven and 3 that bear record on earth (spirit, soul, body) Now Satan is by himself and is also looking for someone to agree with him. We either agree spirit, soul and body or agree with the lie of the enemy. He has no authority or power until we agree with him.
Run toward the power that has already been provided! We’ve got the Father, Son and Holy Spirit already agreeing with you when a healing has been provided. Don’t let the sickness or injury come back by agreeing with the liar the devil. This is something we have to fight in our own faith because the corporate setting (anointing) is gone. Most of us have to walk out our healings individually because our knowledge of Him is greater.
Matthew 9:29 – Then he touched their eyes, saying, “It shall be done according to your faith.”
According means distribution or intensity in the Greek. Many receive proportional to their faith. They have vision for the whole healing but only receive in partial. When you receive a touch from God then don’t settle for halfway. Satan is always looking for a compromise to settle. It will leave you divided and confused.
1 Corinthians 9:27 (body under control or lead body like a slave) Body is supposed to be a living sacrifice. Led by the spirit, transformed by your mind and the body goes along and be retrained into the things of God. In the world we are led body, soul and spirit. Your body wants something…goes to do it but in your mind you may be thinking this is not right. Spirit gets dragged along because of that power of agreement between the soul and body. If spirit and soul agrees they will make your body obey. Sometimes your body is used to agreeing with the devil!
Resist the sickness and start talking to your body. “Body, you will submit yourself to the life and truth of the Holy Spirit in me and the Living Word of God my Father.” This can take a lot of time potentially. Body, you will live right, you will do what is right and when temptation comes I will not give in.
Luke 16: 19-21. Rich man and beggar. Spirit man you look like what you look like in the physical.
We need to listen to our bodies. The power of our spirit man has a higher authority over our physical man…we need to walk in that.
In Genesis God said to go and fill the earth. He built within us the genetics to adapt wherever we may be.
It is important that we learn to retrain the body. It’s like the body has a mind of it’s own. The body says one thing….I say “no!” Immune system get in line with God’s will. Lust of the body, get in line with God’s will.
Matthew 15: 29-31. Lame, blind, dumb, maimed and many others. Cast them down at Jesus feet…means to throw. They went to extreme measures. Much of what Jesus healed was injury.
Prayer: Thank you for sending Jesus. Thank you for providing everything according to your power and grace, by Your will, to supply everything according to my life. Now it comes to me through the knowledge of You and Jesus. Part of that power you’ve provided is the ability to receive healing, You already healed me, now I’m ready to stand up and take authority over it. Now I speak to you satan (lay hands on your body), I take authority over you in the name of Jesus, I will make my body a slave, my spirit man rises up and this condition has no place in my body. I command it to be gone in Jesus name. Now body, I train you according to the Word of God that you will no longer receive this infirmity from the enemy, you will no longer be trained in the ways of this world. Body by the stripes of Jesus you were healed, I command you to submit to that and act right from here on out. Father God I turn to you once again, I thank You and agree with You and I disagree and unagree with the devil and with this condition he has tried to put on me. I was healed by Your stripes and I give you the glory. Thank you Father.
Often with an injury, begin to move and thank Him for that healing. (end…..1:17:21)
10 lepers were cleansed and 1 came back and was made whole…praise & worship matters!
Part 4: Sins have already been forgiven. The word confessed simply means to acknowledge or agree with. So when I say, “Lord I blew it!, Please forgive me.” What this really means is, “You saw this and everything else ahead of time, Jesus died for it on the cross and I just need to agree with what You saw before the foundation of the world and need to appropriate what Your power has provided and receive it at this time in my lift. We confess it and it’s done. Healing is just like this. We are to have this same mindset. Forgiveness of sin and healing has already been provided. It’s about renewing the mind and walking it out in the body. The spirit responds instantly….the body is trained by the world. We must train the body in the same way and begin to think like this! My body is a slave and it is a retraining process. I know that I’m forgiven but there is a heaviness and stinging effect….a grievance……a bruise that remains because our spirit receives healing and forgiveness instantly but it takes awhile to overcome in the mind and body.
Authority that we have: Don’t dwell on the what about, why this, what if’s. Spend time with Him and in the scriptures that healing and forgiveness was done at the same time. Be convinced in yourself. Mentally discipline yourself.
The Lord told John, “Can you believe the promise?” 1 Peter 2:24 - He himself bore our sins' in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; 'by his wounds you have been healed. The Lord said good, now just believe the promise and get your eyes off the manifestation. You have to be able to rest to do this.
Hebrews 4:9
There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works,[a] just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.
Faith = Rest
Hebrews 6: 13 – 20. Essence of Faith
God promised. When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, 14 saying, “I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.”[d] 15 And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.
16 People swear by someone greater than themselves, and the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument. 17 Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. 18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. 19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, 20 where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.
Hope is mental, faith is spiritual. Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Faith is rest. Faith says I cease from my own works. Faith must rest to give peace then that gives you the freedom to act.
Hope is God’s integrity, confident expectation, God’s promise. It is the anchor to our soul. Our hope is anchored at the throne of God. Don’t let go of the anchor. Let the peace of your spirit rise up. Trust and rest in His promise, His integrity, His truth. Anchored into the very character and nature of God.
You can have the vision for something, but that doesn’t mean trying to bring the vision to pass by your own efforts. God’s way and timing is important. Rest in the promise. Leave the manifestation of the vision to Him. No flesh will glory before God. Flesh has to be in neutral and God will do it 100%.
Faith is to appropriate (take possession of, to set apart) of what’s already been done. Train the body….tell it what it’s going to do. This can be a long process especially in the beginning and with chronic conditions.
Pray for a spirit of wisdom, revelation and that the eyes of our understanding will be opened to the knowledge of Him. (eyes of our spirit enlightened)
Matthew 28:18: Power & authority. What is easier to say, that the Son of man has authority on the earth to forgive sins……? Power is a police man firing a gun. If you disobey the authority of the policeman he brings out the power. God’s power has provided everything. The knowledge brings the authority to use it. Born again experience as a child of God brings the authority to use the power. Jesus has every / all authority in heaven and on earth. We are His body. When we pray for someone we are asking Him to have some authority in their life. If they don’t give Him authority then they go on unchanged. In a personal day to day life He lives through His body. Satan operates in the authority that man gives him. John 8:44. We are learning how to take back the authority that you gave Satan your whole live up until you were born again. John 10: 17-18. Lay it down and pick it up by my own free will. Doing these things based upon the promises of the Father God. Satan tries to trick us into giving him authority. We lose our healing after being in a corporate anointing and we have to fight for that authority that you pulled from others. Pick up that authority…..satan, you have no place. Jesus has all authority. Applying His authority in finances, mental realm, disciplining thoughts, etc….
Luke Chapter 5: The ability to receiving healing is just as easy as receiving forgiveness of sins. We develop a mindset….this is really tough. We put healing on a different level. We need to train the body and make it a slave. It is built to adapt and to be trained. The body learns to expect things. Train your body to expect healing and reject sickness. Look for the healing, not for the pain. Jesus saw their faith. Be it unto you according to your faith. Your faith has made you whole. The more we “know” Him, the more we can appropriate or receive what He has already given us.
The body has its own appetite. Changing these things (appetites / desires) is a process. We must grow up spiritually and the body will change / lose its appetites and come under the control of the spirit.
Vs 23 - What is easier to say, your sins are forgiven or rise up and walk? Your sins are forgiven and you’re healed…..it’s equal. It’s like deal with the roots and the fruit (sickness) will wither and die. We have to renew our mind to Jesus way of thinking. We have to discipline our thoughts. Our bodies get conditioned and fall into these patterns.
If we don’t take the thoughts captive, the thoughts will capture you.
Part 5:
Romans 5:12 / Genesis Chapter 2. Death was not an original part of creation but came in as a result of sin. Isaiah: Your sicknesses will be healed because sin has been taken out of the land. Sickness is a result of the death. You deal with the death then you get rid of the sickness. If you leave poverty, cold, etc….untreated it will end in death. Isaiah 33:24 –No resident will say “I am sick,” the people who live there will be forgiven their wrongdoing. Sins forgiven = healing naturally flows.
Boy with epilepsy, Mark 9:14-29. He’s at least a teenager….”since he was a child.”
There is something about the memory that ties to healing. Thinking / focusing on what it was like to be healed, before we were injured or sick. We need to hold in our minds what it was like before that pain was there. If from birth, then they had faith or just a work of God….another step / level of intensity. Maybe “imagining” what it would be like to see or walk. Applying this to retraining your body.
Thoughts can come in but I don’t have to take them into my inner man.
Hebrews 1: 1-3: On many past occasions and in many different ways, God spoke to our fathers through the prophets. But in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe.
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. So He became as far superior to the angels as the name He has inherited is excellent beyond theirs. – The word of His power. You cannot separate the Father and the Son. If you try to exercise authority but His power has not provided then it’s useless. The Son is the Word, the Father is the Power.
As we do things increasingly right (godliness in our thought life, finances, etc….) we are giving God more and more authority and the devil less and less. Proverbs 4: 18 – But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn that shines brighter and brighter until the full day.
